Common questions

Answers to what clients ask us most.

Can’t see your question? Call us on (876) 677-1345 and we’ll be happy to help.

How do I book a consultation?

Call us on (876) 677-1345 during office hours, or message us on WhatsApp at (876) 212-8000 or email [email protected], and we will arrange a time that suits you.

What should I bring to my first meeting?

Any documents related to your matter, such as agreements, letters, titles, court papers and identification. If you are not sure, bring what you have and we will tell you what else is needed.

How long does conveyancing take in Jamaica?

Many property sales complete within about 90 days of signing the Agreement for Sale, but it depends on mortgage approval, the title and how quickly taxes and documents are processed.

What do I need to apply for probate?

Usually the original will, the death certificate, and details of the deceased’s property, such as land titles and bank accounts. We will give you a full checklist.

Can you help if I live overseas?

Yes. Many clients live abroad. Documents can often be signed before a notary or Jamaican consular officer overseas, so you may not need to travel.
